_onRadar is an innovative ongoing artist exposure re-posting project which launched on January 1, 2019 on the social media platforms of Phoenix Institute of Contemporary Art (phICA). It started out as an ongoing social media exhibition that lives exclusively on our Instagram and Facebook pages with direct access from our website (www.phica.org). Artists do not need to be contacted directly to give permissions or details since we re-post the artist’s work that has already been posted on social media, boosting their credit/exposure. The Project was imagined, proposed, designed, and executed by curator Faith Damn.

_onRadar is organized categorically by medium as a method of organization useful not only for the curatorial aspect of searching for artists, but also for cataloging and keeping track of the art and artists we have exhibited. This will also provide a convenient, permanent organization system for our Instagram page. A post exists initially in the “stories” section of our Instagram and Facebook pages. At the end of every week and month, we have a round-up post of all the artists featured that week/month that will be on our actual permanent timeline. The “stories” will be saved to the top of our Instagram bio, organized by category. Followers can be a part of the project, even if they aren’t artists themselves, and remain connected with phICA.
