Elnaz Bokharachi

Elnaz (Ellee) Bokharachi holds a master’s degree in Art History with a focus of modern and contemporary art from Arizona State University’s Herberger Institute for Design and the Arts. She received a BA in Art & Cultural Management from the Azad University of Tehran, Iran. She has completed internships at Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art (SMoCA), ASU Art Museum, and Cultural Studies Organization of Tehran. Believing in the power of art to build bridges and cross borders, Bokharachi started her independent curatorial practices with Bentley Gallery, Phoenix. She sees art as an international language and a second chance to learn about other cultures and nations. Bokharachi has earned variety of awards and scholarships from Arizona State University, University of Houston, and the Azad University of Tehran. Currently, she works with phICA to develop curatorial and educational programs. Also, she is one of the contributing writers of Reorient and The Arts Beacon and has recently apponited as Tilt Gallery’s new Assistant Director & Art Critic.
